Please be advised that Marlboro County School District will have a district-wide Virtual Learning Day, Friday, January 21, 2022, due to the predicted icy weather and hazardous road conditions in the forecast. All students will be expected to complete assignments from home. Employees who can carry out their regular duties from home, please do so, others will have to double up once we return Monday, January 24, 2022. The basketball games scheduled for Thursday, January 20, 2022, (at home) against Camden starting at 6:00 P.M. will still be played.

Spring Sports 2022:
Care South will be on campus Monday January 10th for free physical for Spring Sports for this year (2022).
All forms must be completed by Friday (1/7/2022). Please have students see Ms. Amy Driggers for the forms.
Sign-ups for Baseball and Softball are taking place. Please see Ms. Amy Driggers. We will also see how many students are interested in Soccer ( Must have a physical on file at school and have eligible grades to tryout/practice.)

We would like to congratulate Jason Quick for being selected as the MCSD September Middle School Character Student of the Month. Jason was selected for the Character Trait of Respect and Responsibility. We also thank his parents for raising such a respectful young man.

Lauren Snipes of the McLeod Foundation joined our Pearls Club for the first annual Breast Cancer Awareness walk. All monies raised will go to the foundation for a new mobile mammography unit. We are so proud of our Pearls Club and all the students, staff, and parents who donated!




Dr. Spencer's 5th grade students are building STEAM Kit Cars after collaborating with a partner to come up with a design to build, test and modify. This is part of their unit on Forces and Motion. The goal is to see which car goes the farthest. Great job!





We are celebrating Fire Safety Week. Thank you to the Wallace Fire Department for visiting our primary students today and teaching them about Fire Safety. ❤️🐾❤️🐾

We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to Vulcan Materials Company and Superior Cranes, Inc. of Rockingham, NC for their generous donation of a Literacy Spirit Rock to our school. Our school media specialist, Mrs. Butler, wrote a letter to Vulcan requesting the donation on behalf of our school. We can’t thank you enough!
