Greetings Bearcat Family! Due to inclement weather conditions, Marlboro County School District will have a 2-hour early dismissal on Friday, January 10, 2025, beginning at 1:00 PM. This early dismissal will allow us to ensure that school buses are off the road early, prioritizing the safety of all students and staff.

Dear Bearcat Family,
We are writing to inform you that individuals are diligently working around the clock to resolve the issue with the WEMS boiler system. Ensuring the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff remains our top priority.
As a result, until further notice, the following plan will be in place:
• Grades 6-8: Students will be transported to Marlboro County High School (MCHS).
• PreK-5: Students will be transported to Bennettsville Intermediate School (BIS).
To simplify logistics, please drop your children off at Wallace as usual. From there, students will be bused to their designated locations. At the end of the day, all students will be returned to Wallace for dismissal. Parents, please ensure that students arrive on time.
We are actively working to resolve the heating issue and are planning to minimize disruptions. Updates will be provided as soon as new information becomes available.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time as we ensure a safe and comfortable learning environment for everyone. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
