Also, tomorrow is Camo Day as part of our Red Ribbon Week dress-up days—so show your school spirit!
Families, please note that Good News Club sign-ups are still happening and the program starts on November 11th, and our afterschool program is still accepting applications for interested students.

Good afternoon, Bearcat families! Tonight at 6:00 PM is our Spring Band Concert! We invite everyone to come out and support our amazing student musicians! 3rd grade families – Please check your child’s bookbag for summer school letters and return them to school. Parents of Select K-8 students – A TOP DAWG permission slip was sent home and needs to be returned to school before the practice next Thursday. Students must bring a clear water bottle to practice. SCReady Testing for next week: Tuesday – Math, Wednesday –Science for grades 4 and 6, Thursday – Algebra EOC for select 8th-grade students. Thursday, May 15 – Athletic Awards Ceremony at 5:00 PM. Friday, May 16 – Field Day

Greetings, Bearcat Families! Marlboro County School District will operate on a two-hour delay on Friday, January 24, 2025. Primary and elementary students will start at 9:45 a.m., and middle school students will start at 10:00 a.m. Thank you, and continue to enjoy your evening!

Greetings Bearcat Family! Due to inclement weather conditions, Marlboro County School District will have a 2-hour early dismissal on Friday, January 10, 2025, beginning at 1:00 PM. This early dismissal will allow us to ensure that school buses are off the road early, prioritizing the safety of all students and staff.

Dear Bearcat Family, We are writing to inform you that individuals are diligently working around the clock to resolve the issue with the WEMS boiler system. Ensuring the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff remains our top priority. As a result, until further notice, the following plan will be in place: • Grades 6-8: Students will be transported to Marlboro County High School (MCHS). • PreK-5: Students will be transported to Bennettsville Intermediate School (BIS). To simplify logistics, please drop your children off at Wallace as usual. From there, students will be bused to their designated locations. At the end of the day, all students will be returned to Wallace for dismissal. Parents, please ensure that students arrive on time. We are actively working to resolve the heating issue and are planning to minimize disruptions. Updates will be provided as soon as new information becomes available. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time as we ensure a safe and comfortable learning environment for everyone. Greetings Bearcat Family! This message is to inform you that we will continue with i-Ready diagnostic assessments this week. Please encourage your scholar to do their absolute best. Additionally, we will have a parent technology meeting August 20, 2024 at 10:00 AM in the Wallace Elementary Middle School's media center and the Marlboro County Sherriff's Department National Night Out at 5:30 PM. This event will be located at the MCHS McAlpine Stadium. Finally, we are launching Spirit Fridays where scholars and staff will wear their best Bearcat paraphernalia and/or the colors red, white and black. We look forward to an amazing week ahead full of Bearcat Pride!
