December Student of the Month

On Monday, January 13, 2020, Kaden Johnson was recognized at the MCSD School Board meeting as the December Character Education District Student of the Month. The 7th grader was recognized by her teachers for demonstrating the word Compassion. He was chosen among all middle and high school students in MCSD. This is what his teacher had to say about him:

“William Kaden Johnson’s middle name should be compassion. Not many males at such a young age are willing to help others. Kaden is the exception. I have yet to hear Kaden say a harsh word against anyone. He is so positive and his positive vibes are infectious. I personally think he loves and respects everyone regardless of their differences. Kaden has demonstrated on more than one occasion genuine compassion for those who struggles either academically, behaviorally or socially. He treats everyone equally. A student in one of my classes was having trouble focusing and was often off task. One day out of the blue, Kaden said “put the student in my group and I will keep him focused.” Now, I rarely have to address that student because Kaden is there to keep that student to n task and focused at all times. Kaden has a desire to help others because he is a compassionate person. He is a well-rounded student so does a great job for other who struggle. I will again say Kaden’s middle name should be compassion. He is a role model for students and every teacher’s dream.”

Congratulations, Kaden!
