MCSD Awards Amanda Sulatan

Amanda SulatanThe Character Education trait for the month of November was Citizenship.  Amanda Sulatan, a 7th grader from Wallace Elementary Middle School, was recognized during the December School Board meeting as Marlboro County School District Character Education Students of the Month for displaying this trait daily. She has been chosen for grades 7-12.  This is what her teacher wrote about her:

Amanda Sulatan exemplifies citizenship every day all day. She is a role model student. She is a definitely a pleasure to teach. Amanda displays respect, responsibility, self-discipline as well other quality character traits to all she encounters ... adults and students. She is an integral part of the learning environment as she contributes to the positive learning environment. She is always involved in the learning process and willing to help others succeed. She goes beyond the call of duties every day. Amanda is a scholar-athlete who puts academics at the forefront. She holds herself and others accountable for their actions. She is respectful to everyone including those who are in authority. She holds herself and others accountable. All of Amanda's teachers toot her horn because she has a heart of gold.
