Parents' and Guardians' Rights Notification
Parents and guardians in the Marlboro County School District have the right to learn about the following qualifications of their child's teacher: state licensure requirements for the grade level and content areas taught, the current licensing status of your child's teacher, and baccalaureate/graduate certification/degree.
You may also request the qualifications of an instructional paraprofessional who serves your student in a Title I program or if your school operates a school-wide Title I program. Parents or guardians may request this information from the Federal Programs Office by calling 843.479.3707 or by sending a letter of request in care of Federal Programs, 100 Matheson Street, Bennettsville, South Carolina, 29512.
Marlboro County School District ensures that parents or guardians will be notified in writing if their child has been assigned, or has been taught by a teacher for four or more consecutive weeks who is not considered highly qualified.
Please continue to save UPC's and labels for Labels for Education, Box Tops for Education, Tyson Project A+ Labels, and Capri Sun juice pouches. Our school can earn free educational merchandise with the collection of these. They are to be turned in to Ms. Marilyn Harrington, Room 137.
The mission of Marlboro County School District is to educate and enable all students to achieve their highest potential.
The School District of Marlboro County will partner with families, businesses, and communities to develop the next generation of responsible citizens, lifelong learners, and global leaders.
